Commissioning is helped along by rotary wheels and address tags for clear address indication, a 32 tone set that can be picked at the device or from the panel, and adjustable sound, light and tones to suit varying installation applications. A loop continuity spring supports first fix, cable entry is rear or surface with large cable access, and individual components can be replaced separately.

BRS-PC-I00 is the standard product in the Honeywell Morley-IAS range of intelligent detector base sounder strobes, a modular loop powered device whose purpose is to alert building occupants to a potential fire from one ceiling position. Communication with the panel is on Morley-IAS Protocol.

Standard mode gives an EN54-23 coverage code of C-3-8.5, taken at 3m installation height over a cylinder Ø = 8.5m for a volume of 170 m3. The strobe flashes red at 0.5 Hz in that mode. Sound output reaches 96dB (A) ±3dB @ 1metre, measured with tone 3 at high volume and 24V, and in those conditions the device draws a typical maximum of 18mA. The supply is 15 to 29 VDC (Isolation) and standby is 150 uA maximum.

The device is rated for ambient temperatures of -10°C to 55°C and humidity of 93% ± 3%, non-condensing. IP21C is reached where the base used is the low profile B501AP and the IP seal is in place. Manufacture falls under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), and approval is held to EN54-3, EN54-17 and EN54-23.
