Description

A red radio wall sounder for battery operation, WSO-RR-RF pairs a two stage sounder module with an RF transceiver and drops into a standard B501RF wireless base.

The AgileIQ™ application software selects volume and tone; the fire panel then drives the second stage tone, related to the first, through the RF Gateway. Low volume tones are not approved to EN54-3. The manufacturer is System Sensor Europe, Life Safety Distribution GmbH, and the device meets 2014/53/EU for RED directive conformance.

WSO-RR-RF is the red version of the radio system wall mounted sounder: a battery operated two stage sounder module with a wireless RF transceiver, made to fit a standard B501RF wireless base and to work with the M200G-RF radio gateway on an addressable fire system.

Low volume tones are not approved to EN54-3. The device itself conforms to EN54-3 and EN54-25. Three volume settings are available, Low, Medium and High, the factory default being HIGH, with tone 8 as the first stage default and tone 2 behind it as the second stage.

It takes 2.5-3.3 V Direct Current from 4 X Duracell Ultra123 or Panasonic Industrial 123 batteries, with maximum current consumption 120 mA average (High Volume Tone 20). Ingress protection is IP21 and humidity 5% to 95% (non-condensing). Observe the battery manufacturer's precautions for use and requirements for disposal; a possible explosion risk arises if an incorrect type is used. Supply is 2.5-3.3 V Direct Current, taken from 4 X Duracell Ultra123 or Panasonic Industrial 123 batteries. The battery manufacturer's precautions for use and requirements for disposal must be observed, since using an incorrect type brings a possible explosion risk. Do not mix batteries from different manufacturers, and replace all 4 on a change; held for long spells below -20°C they lose considerable life, up to 30% or more. Maximum time to normal RF communication from power on is 35s, and radio system devices must be spaced a minimum of 1m apart. A base feature, once activated, prevents removal without a tool.

The loop address is set on two rotary decade switches on the underside, between 01 and 159, the number available being dependent on panel capability; the device takes one sensor address on the loop.
