Description
The Gent VSRPT-MRC-72 is a replacement Mark 4 Master Repeat Card for an EN or BS repeat panel or an A3 mimic on the Vigilon device loop. It is supplied with a protective cover. The host control panel needs a short Loop Processor Card and compatible EN or BS software. The card is set to match its display: SW3 position 4 for an eight-line repeat, or position 0 for an A3 mimic. In a custom mimic, the display configuration is loaded through the USB connection and then write protected. After replacement, the loop is reallocated so the repeat or mimic can show the main panel’s indications.
The VSRPT-MRC-72 replaces the Master Repeat Card in an EN/BS repeat panel or an A3 mimic connected to a Vigilon device loop. The replacement is a Mark 4 card supplied with its protective cover. The host control panel needs a short Loop Processor Card and compatible software: EN V4.19 or later, or BS V3.90 or later. It is also compatible with A2 mimics as a legacy fit, with limited support; we recommend replacement with an A3 mimic.

The display selection changes with the application. SW3 position 4 is used for an eight-line repeat panel, while position 0 is used for an A3 mimic. In the repeat application, 40-way and 20-way ribbon connections link the MRC to the display and keyboard card. In the mimic application, P13 connects to the LED assembly and P15 provides the lamp-test connection.
The replacement is factory write protected through link P4. A zonal mimic uses the preconfigured zonal setup. For a custom mimic, P4 is set to allow writing, and the Mimic Configuration Tool connects through USB socket P7 to load the configuration. P4 is returned to the write-protected setting afterwards.
The loop, local mains and battery supplies are isolated for replacement work. The protective cover is fitted before power-up. Once the replacement card has powered up, the loop is reallocated at the main control panel so the repeat or mimic resumes its system indications. The display setting follows the panel being serviced.

FAQs
Which panels does the VSRPT-MRC-72 serve?
It is the replacement Mark 4 Master Repeat Card for an EN/BS eight-line repeat panel or an A3 mimic connected to the Vigilon device loop. The host control panel needs a short Loop Processor Card and compatible software: EN V4.19 or later, or BS V3.90 or later. The card is supplied with a protective cover. Its display selection is set for the application, and the loop is reallocated at the main control panel after replacement.
Which SW3 position is used for a repeat or an A3 mimic?
Use position 4 for an eight-line repeat panel and position 0 for an A3 mimic. SW3 selects the display application on the replacement Master Repeat Card. The repeat connects to its display and keyboard card through 40-way and 20-way ribbon connections. The A3 mimic uses its LED connection at P13, with the lamp-test connection at P15. The protective cover is fitted before the panel is powered up, and the loop is reallocated after the replacement.
Does an A3 mimic need configuration after the card is replaced?
A zonal mimic can use the replacement card’s preconfigured zonal setup. A custom mimic needs its configuration written to the replacement card. Link P4 is set to allow writing, and the Mimic Configuration Tool connects through USB socket P7. After the configuration has been loaded, P4 is returned to the write-protected setting. SW3 is set to position 0 for the A3 display, and the main control panel is used to reallocate the loop after replacement.
What is supplied with the replacement Master Repeat Card?
The replacement Mark 4 card is supplied with its protective cover. That cover is fitted over the card before the panel is powered up. The replacement process reconnects the panel’s loop and mains wiring, its battery connection and the display connections appropriate to the application. An eight-line repeat uses 40-way and 20-way ribbons to its display and keyboard card, while an A3 mimic connects to its LED assembly. SW3 is set for the display being used.
What happens after the replacement card is powered up?
The main control panel is used to reallocate the loop after the replacement MRC has powered up. The repeat or mimic then resumes the main panel’s indications. The card’s display selection is set before this: SW3 position 4 for an eight-line repeat and position 0 for an A3 mimic. A custom mimic also has its configuration loaded, with P4 returned to write protection. The supplied protective cover is fitted before power is restored to the panel.
