Gent VSRPT-MRC Retrofit Master Repeat Card Mark-4 Kit

VSRPT-MRC is the Gent Retro-fit MRC Kit (Mark 4), a replacement Master Repeat Card package for loop wired old Repeat panels and A2 Mimic panels installed in EN54 / BS5839 Gent analogue and addressable fire detection and alarm systems. The kit supersedes the VIG-BS-RPT-UPGR, VIG-EN-RPT-UPGR and VSRPT-MRC-V3+ upgrade parts.

Rotary switch SW3 on the new Master Repeat Card selects the legacy host: the A2/A3/A4 Mimic Panel, the 3400 Repeat panel (4 line display), the 32000 Repeat panel (16 line display), or Vigilon Repeat panels with 16 line or 8 line displays. Compatibility requires system control panels having a Loop Processor Card, New Shorter Card only, at version V4.19 / 3.90 or greater. Communication is over an RS485 interface, with L and N mains supply terminals protected by an FS4 3.15A(T) mains fuse; a second fuse position, FS3, is rated 2A(QB), and a write-protect option is factory-set to Write Protected.

SW3 is positioned on the new card just below the header for the 40-way ribbon cable (P2). During fitting, the terminal card ribbon cable connects to socket P16 on the Retrofit MRC, the battery lead to socket P5 and the spade end of the earth lead to P17; step-by-step fitting is detailed in the installation leaflet.
