The Xtralis VSP-983-B is a black 4mm surface-mount sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA series, screwed directly to the ceiling for use where access to the ceiling void is limited. Each patented sampling point and microbore tube is fully supervised and automatically cleaned by the detector, with a swivel joint for optimum tube orientation.
Technical overview
VSP-983-B is the black surface-mount air sampling point for 4mm microbore tube in the Xtralis VESDA-E VEA series of detectors. VEA sampling hardware comes in two types, standard and surface mount, and this part takes the surface-mount form.
Mounting places the point on the underside of the ceiling, held by screws, with the 4mm tube laid along the ceiling in view of the space it protects — the intended answer where the void above allows little access. A sampling point retainer, catalogued for direct or ceiling-tile mounting, appears among the related accessories.
Supervision reaches from the VEA detector out to each patented head and along its tube, and the detector cleans the points automatically. The swivel joint built into the head allows the tube to be angled to suit the run.
For volume ordering, the same black point is coded VSP-983-B22 in packs of 22, alongside the VSP-978 sample point head removal key.
