The Xtralis VSP-983-B22 supplies the black 4mm surface-mount sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA aspirating smoke detection series in a pack of 22, designed for use where access to the ceiling void is limited. Screwed directly to the ceiling with microbore tubes run along the surface, each patented sampling point is fully supervised, automatically cleaned by the detector, and fitted with a swivel joint for optimum tube orientation.
Technical overview
VSP-983-B22 orders the black 4mm surface-mount sampling point for Xtralis VESDA-E VEA aspirating smoke detectors in a pack of 22. Documented host units for these points are the VEA-040-A00, a VEA-40 detector with LEDs, and the VEA-040-A10 carrying a 3.5 inch display.
Points of this type fasten with screws to the ceiling itself, and the 4mm microbore tubing then follows the ceiling in plain sight through the protected area — the configuration provided for ceilings whose voids offer limited access.
Behind each patented head, supervision runs back to the detector covering both the point and its tube, cleaning happens automatically from the detector, and a swivel joint absorbs whatever tube angle the installation calls for.
