The Xtralis VSP-980-B is a black 6mm standard sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA aspirating smoke detection series, connecting to microbore tubes with a swivel joint for optimum tube orientation. Each patented sampling point and microbore tube is fully supervised and cleaned automatically by the detector, while blind mounting and direct or ceiling-tile fixing remove any need to access the void above.
Technical overview
VSP-980-B is the black 6mm standard sampling point from Xtralis for the VESDA-E VEA aspirating smoke detection series. The sampling point suits appropriate 6mm microbore tubes run back to the VEA detector, with a swivel joint allowing flexible orientation of the tube.
The detector fully supervises every patented sampling point together with its microbore tube, and also cleans each point automatically.
Fixing is either direct, screwed straight to the ceiling, or into a ceiling tile using the sampling point retainer. With the tube run first, the point itself can then go up blind, so the void above the ceiling never has to be entered again; for physical connections, the installation manual applies.
