The Xtralis VSP-980-B22 supplies the black 6mm standard sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA aspirating smoke detection series in a pack of 22, designed for ceilings with a void where microbore tubes are run. Each patented sampling point is fully supervised and automatically cleaned by the detector, and the swivel-joint inlet allows flexible tube orientation for direct-screw or ceiling-mount installation.
Technical overview
VSP-980-B22 is a pack of twenty-two black 6mm standard sampling points from Xtralis for the VESDA-E VEA series, whose aspirating smoke detectors provide pinpoint addressability.
The standard point assumes a ceiling with a void behind it: 6mm microbore tube runs in the void, while each black point sits in the ceiling of the room below. Points go up blind after the tube is in, so nobody returns to the void once tubing is complete, and fixing is a straight screw to the ceiling or a retainer mount.
Supervision of each patented sampling point, and of the microbore tube feeding it, rests with the VEA detector, which also takes on cleaning of the points automatically. A swivel joint at the inlet lets installers orientate the tube freely.
