The Xtralis VSP-981-B is a black 4mm standard sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA aspirating smoke detection series, with a swivel-joint inlet sized to suit appropriate microbore tubes. Each patented sampling point and microbore tube is fully supervised and cleaned automatically by the detector, while blind mounting and direct or ceiling-tile fixing remove the need to access the void above.
Technical overview
VSP-981-B is the Xtralis VESDA-E VEA standard sampling point in black with a 4mm inlet, the variant of the VEA head sized to suit 4mm microbore air-sampling tubes.
In service, the head and the tube serving it stay under detector supervision, with cleaning automated from the same end, and a swivel joint at the inlet gives the tube a free choice of approach angle.
Installers choose between a direct screw fix to the ceiling and a ceiling-tile mount in the retainer housing; either way the head accepts blind fitting once its microbore tube is run, sparing any reopening of the void above.
