Gent S4-780-S S-Quad Heat Sensor Sounder

The Gent S4-780-S is an addressable S4 (S-Quad) loop device combining a heat sensor with an integral sounder. It supports up to 127 devices per loop with a load factor of 6.5 per device, enabling efficient heat detection and alarm signalling on a single circuit. This model supersedes the earlier S4-780 and requires a compatible S-Quad sensor base for installation.

For compliance with standards, the S4-780-S must be mounted on a base with an IP21 plate. Required accessories include the S4-700 common white S-Quad sensor base, the S4-701 IP21 base and base cover (pack of 1), or the S4-705 IP21 base covers (pack 5), helping to ensure proper environmental protection and system integration. The device is designed for reliable operation in fire detection systems where both heat sensing and audible alerting are required on a single addressable point. Its S-Quad architecture allows integration with Gent’s addressable fire alarm control panels, providing flexibility in system design and maintenance. The load factor of 6.5 helps ensure optimal power usage across the loop, maximising device count without compromising performance.
