The S4-34892 fits over the operating face of the S4-34800 glass and S4-34805 resettable manual call points. It is an optional accessory for both models and is supplied in packs of 20.
The cover is hinged at the top and lifts upwards. Its see-through face leaves the call point symbol visible with the cover down. Emergency operation has two actions: lift the cover, then press the centre of the call point.
The compatible S4-34800 uses a glass element, with replacement glass available as S4-34891. The S4-34805 uses a plastic element that is restored with a test key; replacement elements are available as S4-34890. Both replacement-element packs contain ten pieces.
S4-34896 is a separate optional IP rated plastic protective cover for the same two call points. S4-34895 is their red surface back box. The back box is a separate mounting accessory, and both call points are supplied without it.

FAQs
Which call points take the S4-34892 optional cover?
The S4-34892 fits the S4-34800 glass manual call point and the S4-34805 resettable manual call point. It is an optional protective cover for either model and sits over the operating face. The two call points use different elements: the glass is replaced after emergency use, while the plastic element is reset with a key. The cover has a top hinge and a see-through face, so the operating symbol remains visible when it is down.
How is a call point operated with S4-34892 fitted?
Lift the S4-34892 upwards from the front of the call point, then press the centre of the operating element. The cover pivots at the top to give access to the face. In the standard MCP range, activation brings the yellow tab into view and makes the red LED flash. On the compatible S4-34800 the glass is replaced after emergency use; on the S4-34805 the plastic element is restored with the test key.
How many S4-34892 covers are supplied in a pack?
S4-34892 is supplied in a pack of twenty protective covers. The cover is an optional accessory for the S4-34800 glass and S4-34805 resettable call points. Each cover sits over the operating face and lifts upwards on its top hinge. The face is see-through, leaving the call point symbol visible while the cover is down. For emergency operation, the cover is raised and the centre of the call point is pressed to activate it.
What is the difference between S4-34892 and S4-34896?
S4-34892 is a lift-up protective cover with a see-through face and a hinge at the top, supplied in packs of twenty. S4-34896 is an IP rated plastic protective cover. Both are optional cover accessories for the S4-34800 glass and S4-34805 resettable manual call points. The S4-34800 uses glass that is replaced after emergency operation, while the S4-34805 uses a plastic element that is reset with a test key after it has been operated.
How does S4-34892 relate to the S4-34895 back box?
S4-34892 is the optional protective cover over the front of the call point. S4-34895 is the separate red back box used for surface mounting the compatible S4-34800 and S4-34805 call points. Both call points are supplied without a back box. The standard MCP range also supports semi-flush mounting with a standard electrical box recessed into the wall. The S4-34892 cover lifts upwards to expose the operating face and is supplied in packs of twenty.
