S4-34760-99 is an optical smoke sensor mounting kit from Gent by Honeywell, designed for round and insulated ducts as part of the S4-34760 venturi air duct kit. It includes a probe that samples duct air to detect smoke and trigger shutdown of air-conditioning or ventilation plant. The kit is rated to IP55 and weighs approximately 4.6kg, operating across 0°C to 50°C at duct air velocities of 1 to 10 m/s.
Up to 200 units are supported per loop (reduced to 50 if slave LEDs are used), with a device load factor of 2. The venturi tube immersion depth is set at 90% of the duct's diameter, and the drill hole for the venturi tube up to 600 mm requires a hole of ∅38 mm. Mounting is achieved via an external mounting bracket fixed to the duct. Compatible with Vigilon loop devices, it connects directly to the Vigilon Loop for integration into fire alarm systems.
