Description
The Gent NANO-24 is a single loop addressable fire alarm control panel for up to 127 devices, subject to loop loading. Its backlit display and 16 zone LEDs show system events, with a local buzzer for fire and fault alerts. Two master alarm circuits drive conventional sounders, while separate fire and fault relays provide changeover contacts for external equipment. The panel works as a standalone fire alarm system and supports repeat indicators through RS485. It mounts on the wall or uses the NANO-FLUSH bezel for a recessed fit. Batteries are ordered separately: two 4015-501-YFR 12V 7Ah flame-retardant units are required.

The NANO-24 controls one analogue addressable loop with up to 127 devices. The usable device mix depends on electrical loading and cable constraints. A backlit LCD with eight lines of 40 characters displays events, while 16 zone LEDs identify the affected zone. The first fire zone flashes. Device location labels can contain up to 32 characters, and a local buzzer announces fire and fault events. Controls are protected by a PIN.
Two master alarm circuits supply conventional alarm sounders at a nominal 24V, with a maximum of 200mA per circuit. Each circuit needs a 10K end-of-line resistor, including when unused. Separate fire and fault relays each provide voltage-free changeover contacts rated at 1A at 24Vdc. The fire relay energises on fire; the fault relay is normally energised and drops out on a fault. A monitored external evacuation input activates the sector alarms, master alarms and fire output. The class change input activates the configured sectors.
The panel is non-networkable. Its RS485 port connects up to four repeat indicators. When only one repeat indicator is connected, it can use the panel’s 24V supply. Multiple repeat indicators need a separate 24V supply. The furthest repeat indicator can be up to 1km of cable from the panel. An RS232 port connects an external printer at 9600 baud. The USB port connects the Nano commissioning tool for system configuration. Nano V3 systems with MCB V3.12 use the V3.0 Nano tool; the SMS SentriONE tool is not interchangeable. Historical events can be retrieved through the Nano tool and saved or printed.
The panel uses a 230Vac mains supply at 50/60Hz. Standby batteries are not included: two 4015-501-YFR Power Sonic flame-retardant 12V 7Ah batteries are required separately. The 24-hour standby period plus 30 minutes of alarm operation depends on the calculated system load. The auxiliary 24V output supplies up to 200mA, and any load connected to it contributes to the standby calculation.
The enclosure measures 419mm high, 347mm wide and 85.5mm deep, with an approximate weight of 3.12kg excluding batteries. It is IP30 and operates from -5 to +40°C. Surface mounting uses three backbox fixing points, with 13 top and two rear cable entries. For semi-flush mounting, NANO-FLUSH fits a wall aperture 347mm wide by 406mm high and at least 75mm deep. Three 5mm screws secure the backbox to the surround and are not included with the bezel.

Are batteries included with NANO-24?
Batteries are supplied separately from the NANO-24 panel. It requires two 4015-501-YFR Power Sonic flame-retardant 12V 7Ah batteries for standby power. The system can provide 24 hours of standby followed by 30 minutes of alarm operation when the connected loads meet the battery calculation. Include the loop devices, master alarm circuits and any equipment using the auxiliary 24V output in that calculation. During normal operation, the panel and its loop take their power from the mains supply.
How many devices can the NANO-24 loop support?

The Gent Nano tool and the SMS SentriONE tool are separate applications and are not interchangeable.
