What it is and how it fits the system.
The Gent M201EA-240 is an Intelligent Addressable two-pole relay module providing one two-pole voltage-free relay output, with one normally-open and one normally-closed contact, switched on or off by command from the fire panel. Individually loop-addressable across the range 1 to 99, it carries relay contacts rated 5 amps at 30 V dc, 5 amps at 100 V rms audio and 5 amps at 250 V ac power. It operates from 15 V dc to 32 V dc, draws a maximum standby current of 27 µA, measures 82 x 22 x 99 mm excluding terminal blocks and weighs 118 g.
Technical overview
M201EA-240, the Morley Intelligent Addressable two-pole relay module from the Addressable Interface modules range, provides one two-pole voltage-free relay output with one normally open and one normally closed contact, switched on or off by command from the fire panel. The relay contacts are rated 5 amps @ 30 V dc, 5 amps @ 100 V rms (audio) and 5 amps @ 250 V ac (power).
A built-in loop short-circuit isolator automatically detects shorts on the IA loop, and a tri-colour LED status indicator can be configured to switch green while the relay output is on or to pulse green each time the module is polled. Supply is 15 V dc to 32 V dc with a maximum standby current of 27 µA.
Rated IP 30 and operating from -20°C to 60°C, the 118 g module mounts by two holes or DIN rail clips in any type of enclosure, including the M200E-SMB surface-mount box; M200E-DIN clips suit M2xx series modules. The module complies with EN 54-17:2005 and EN 54-18:2005, and on NZS 4512:2021 systems must not be connected to 230 volt ac mains power circuits. M201EA-240 supersedes the M201E-240 and M201E-240-DIN.
