Description
The Xtralis F-PC-HE-5.5 is a colour-coded Harsh Environment sampling hole clip from the VESDA/FAAST ASD CLIP Hole Identification System, sized for a 5.5mm (7/32) sampling point. Built in PC/ABS with a RAL9005 body and a variable-material TPE seal, it fits tube of 25mm to 27mm outer diameter and withstands a maximum pipe network pressure of 7 bar across -30C to +45C. At 55mm by 30.5mm and 11g, it brings repeatable hole sizing to harsh installations.

F-PC-HE-5.5 identifies a 5.5mm (7/32) sampling point on aspirating smoke detection pipework, one of the colour-coded Harsh Environment clips in the Xtralis VESDA/FAAST CLIP Hole Identification System. Colour coding follows the IEC 60062 standard resistor code, so the hole size at each sampling point stays readable on the installed pipe network.
Fitting needs neither tools nor assembly of parts: sampling holes are drilled with a 10mm (27/64") bit, after which each clip snaps home over its hole and grips tube between 25 mm and 27 mm outside diameter. Physical fitting detail is carried in the installation instructions, which should be followed to ensure full functionality.
Construction combines a PC/ABS body in RAL9005 with a variable-material TPE seal, suiting the clip to harsh installations. Sealing carries one documented caveat above 45°C ambient, where leakage of up to 5% can occur at the clip seal.
