The Xtralis F-PC-HE-6.5 is a Harsh Environment VESDA/FAAST sampling point hole clip from Honeywell's CLIP Hole Identification System, carrying a pre-engineered 6.5mm (1/4 inch) sampling hole. Constructed in PC/ABS with a RAL9005 body and a variable-material TPE seal, it fits tube of 25mm to 27mm outer diameter and supports a maximum pipe network pressure of 7 bar across -30C to +45C. Compact at 55mm by 30.5mm and 11g, it standardises sampling-point sizing in demanding environments.
Technical overview
F-PC-HE-6.5 marks a 6.5mm (1/4) sampling hole on VESDA aspirating smoke detection pipework, an Xtralis sampling point hole clip from a CLIP Hole Identification System range documented in both Standard and Harsh Environment formats. This part is the Harsh Environment version, carrying the flexi-lip design that sets those variants apart at the sampling hole.
Preparing the pipe run means creating every sampling hole with a 10mm (27/64") drill bit, after which the clip locates on ASD sampling pipe of 25 mm to 27 mm outer diameter. Every clip is a one-piece part.
Colour identification follows the IEC 60062 standard resistor code, separating the 6.5mm clip from other sizes across the same run. Connection and fitting detail is documented in the installation instructions, the reference for helping to ensure full functionality.
