Description

The VSP-610 is a Tamper Proof Sampling Point (TPSP) Model 1, a flush-mount aspirating smoke detection sampling point that accommodates standard 1" (25 mm) pipe for discreet, inconspicuous sampling. Built from SUS304 stainless steel for excellent heat and corrosion resistance, it features a tamper-proof design and a serviceable mesh inlet. It affixes by four screws to ceiling material and supports rigid or flexible conduit with both standard pipe and capillary tube interfaces in metric and imperial units.

VSP-610 is the standard-pipe model of the Xtralis Tamper Proof Sampling Point (TPSP) for aspirating smoke detection, designated Model 1 and set apart from its capillary-fed siblings by an inlet that accommodates 25 mm (1 in) pipe directly. The sampling concept is hidden detection: the point mounts flush and stays concealed in the ceiling it serves.

Fixing uses four screws into the ceiling material, with the pipe run in rigid or flexible conduit, an arrangement described as friendly to both new installations and retrofit work. Because the detector drawing air through the point is mounted centrally and remotely, testing and maintenance take place at a convenient location away from the sampling position, and the mesh inlet can be serviced when required.

The body is SUS304 stainless steel, a grade noted for heat and corrosion resistance, finished in a tamper-proof design. Ordering spans metric and imperial pipework: VSP-610 covers metric pipe, while VSP-610-US is catalogued as the imperial-pipe TPSP. Where micro-bore capillary tubing is used instead, the recommended alternatives are VSP-620-01 (6 mm capillary) and VSP-620-02 (8 mm capillary).
