Description
The Gent VSINTM-PCB02 is a replacement circuit board for the S4-34440-02, the 1.5A Gent S4 mains powered interface unit. It replaces the electronics in an existing unit while the enclosure, transformer, field wiring and standby batteries remain in place. The board is supplied without an enclosure, transformer or batteries. Its wired terminal blocks transfer from the old board, retaining the field wiring connections. The fixing screws form part of the case earthing system and are reused when fitting the replacement. Stop the loop at the fire panel and completely isolate the mains supply before removing the existing board.

The VSINTM-PCB02 replaces the circuit board in the 1.5A S4-34440-02 Gent S4 mains powered interface. The enclosure, transformer, field wiring and standby batteries remain in place during board replacement. The VSINTM-PCB12 is the replacement board for the 2.5A S4-34440-12. The older 34440 unit uses the VSINTM-PCB-UPG replacement card on a carrier.
The board has a P3 mains terminal block, a P7 battery connector, a loop block, an auxiliary output and four sector/zone terminal blocks. It carries the FS6 ceramic anti-surge fuse, FS8 quick-blow fuse and SW1 power-up switch. VSINTM-PCB02 and VSINTM-PCB12 share the same fuse ratings, terminal layout and spares pack. The board family is Mains Powered Interface Unit Mk 3.
The spares pack contains one 3.15A AS ceramic fuse, one 3.15A QB glass fuse, four 5.6K resistors, eight 470R resistors, four 10K resistors, a battery link, a battery lead, four 22uF 35V capacitors and an instruction leaflet.
Stop the loop from the Test/Eng menu at the fire panel, then completely isolate the mains supply before removing the existing board. Retain the fixing screws and use them to secure the replacement board. They form part of the earthing system and provide the case earth connection.
Transfer the wired terminal blocks from the old board to retain the field wiring connections. Refit the plastic protective cover, reconnect the mains at P3 and the battery lead at P7, then allocate the loop. Close and lock the enclosure door with its key.

Is the VSINTM-PCB02 the whole interface or just the board?
Only the circuit board is supplied. The enclosure, transformer and standby batteries are excluded. The VSINTM-PCB02 replaces the electronics inside an existing S4-34440-02 while the enclosure, transformer and field wiring remain in place. The wired terminal blocks transfer to the replacement board. The complete S4-34440-02 is the interface unit for new installations or replacement where the enclosure is damaged or parts are missing. The older 34440 unit uses the VSINTM-PCB-UPG replacement card on a carrier.
In what order is the VSINTM-PCB02 fitted?
