The VIC-030 is the VESDA VLF Multi-function Control Card (MCC) with MPO, an interface card for the VESDA VLF series of aspirating smoke detectors that expands the incoming and outgoing contacts a VLF can manage. Unique to the VIC-030, the Monitored Power Output runs on 24 VDC and delivers up to 1 A maximum. It provides relay outputs rated 2 A at 30 VDC and weighs 0.08 kg.
Technical overview
VIC-030 is a multi-function control card with MPO for VESDA VLF aspirating smoke detectors. It provides two additional relays and a supervised 24 VDC power output for devices such as audible alarms or pulse generators, with network integrity monitoring.
The card measures 110mm x 70mm x 20mm and weighs 0.08 kg, consuming 1 W from the detector at 24 VDC (under 42 mA). Relay outputs are rated at 2 A at 30 VDC, and the MPO input requires 24 VDC with an input current 100 mA higher than the output load. The MPO output current is limited to 1 A maximum. End-of-line resistors for MPO and GPI are 2.7 kOhm.
It operates in tested temperatures from -10 to 55°C, with detector ambient temperature ranging from 0 to 40°C and humidity tolerance of 5% to 95% non-condensing. It includes diagnostic LEDs for power status, relay activation, MPO status, power faults, data transfer, and GPI status. Compatibility is confirmed with VLF-250 and VLF-500 detectors, and the card holds EN 54-20, CE - EMC and CPR, and AFNOR approvals.
