The Gent SAFE-WHITE-D-KIT is a white double-button SAFE switch kit used to manage Area Alarms in a Vigilon Plus Fire System, supplied with a SAFE Switch, 4 Channel Interface and wiring loom (interface enclosure not included). EN54 Part 2 Type B Dependency approved, it allows a maximum 30m cable run to the LV Interface unit S4-34450, wired per BS5839 Part 1. The unit measures 85mm (H) x 85mm (W) x 25mm (D).
Technical overview
SAFE-WHITE-D-KIT is a white double-button SAFE switch kit from Gent by Honeywell, designed to manage Area Alarms in a Vigilon Plus Fire System. This kit includes a SAFE Switch, 4 Channel Interface and wiring loom, though the interface enclosure is not supplied. It is EN54 Part 2 Type B Dependency approved and supports a maximum cable run of 30m to the LV Interface unit S4-34450, with wiring conforming to BS5839 Part 1.
The unit measures 85mm (H) x 85mm (W) x 25mm (D) and operates within a temperature range of 1°C to 50°C. It provides a loop loading capacity of 200 Alarm Areas per loop. Channel functions are assigned as follows: Channel 1 for silencing alarms and Channel 3 for red LED indication; Channel 2 for test functions and Channel 4 for green LED indication. A confirmation LED visually informs occupants when an action has been successfully initiated.
Activation requires pressing and holding the button for 5 seconds, after which area smoke detection is disabled for 15 minutes. The kit is recommended for use with S-Quad multi-criteria detectors and forms part of the SAFE solution bridging BS5839 Part 1 and BS5839 Part 6.
