- Vigilon Interface for FAASTThe G07-0199-000 S4 ASD Interface unit connects to a FAAST (Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology®) unit, monitors it for fire and fault events and signals the Vigilon panel to take cause and effect actions.
- Single or Dual PortIt can be used in a Single Port (1 Channel) or Dual Port (2 Channels) application.
- Mains Powered With FusingMains input is 230V -15% +10% 50Hz/60Hz 0.7A, protected by an FS3 3.15A(T) mains fuse.
- Zone and Sector OutputsZone output is 16V or 22.5V (default) ±15% 20mA per zone (default) with zone short circuit current limited to < 30mA, while sector outputs give 0.5A max. each at 24V ± 3V.
- EN54 Design StandardsThe unit is designed to meet EN54:part 4:1997 + A1:2002, EN54:part 17:2005 and EN54:part 18:2005.
- Vigilon Firmware RequirementsCompatibility calls for Vigilon MCC ≥ V4.53, LPC ≥ V4.49 and Commissioning tool ≥ V1.31.
- Steel Enclosure and FinishThe steel enclosure measures 478mm x 322mm x 145mm, weighs 5.25Kg (excluding batteries and optional modules fitted) and has a door in RAL 7024 Graphite Grey and Toucan C-Mix 2000 white 67W50 over a RAL 7024 Graphite Grey backbox.
- DIN Rail ExpansionThe ASD Interface unit has room to accommodate optional modules onto its DIN rails, including the optional relay module 19104-52.
Description
This interface is the link between a FAAST unit and a Vigilon system: it monitors that unit for fire and fault events and passes them to the panel for cause and effect. Panel firmware must be at Vigilon MCC ≥ V4.53, LPC ≥ V4.49 and Commissioning tool ≥ V1.31, and the unit joins a Vigilon device loop using recommended fire cable. Mains cabling should be a standard fire resisting type meeting PH30 classification, with a minimum conductor cross sectional area of 0.75mm².
It is designed to meet EN54:part 4:1997 + A1:2002, EN54:part 17:2005 and EN54:part 18:2005, with emission to BS EN 61000-6-3: 2007 + A1:2001 for residential, commercial & light Industry, immunity to BS EN 50130-4: 2001 for alarm systems and safety to EN 62368-1: 2014. Batteries for the unit are the PG-12V14F2 FR type, 2 x 12V 14Ahr (4.2Kg each). Spare space on the DIN rails takes optional modules, among them the optional relay module 19104-52. Ambient operating temperature is -5ºC to +40°C, storage -20ºC to +70ºC, and relative humidity up to 95% (Non condensing).

The G07-0199-000 is the S4 ASD Interface unit (Part No: S4-34440-ASD), a mains-powered interface designed to connect to a FAAST (Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology®) unit, monitor it for fire and fault events and signal the Vigilon panel so that cause and effect actions follow. It suits a Single Port (1 Channel) or Dual Port (2 Channels) application and offers terminals for a spur circuit off the main loop.
Mains input is 230V -15% +10% 50Hz/60Hz 0.7A behind an FS3 3.15A(T) mains fuse, with an FS8 F3.16A QUICK BLOW battery fuse and an FS6 T3.15A CERAMIC ANTI-SURGE fuse internally. Mains cabling must be a standard fire resisting type meeting PH30 classification, with a minimum conductor cross sectional area of 0.75mm². It operates across 35V - 48V, sits at a nominal 22.5Vdc ±5%, and with no mains present holds a battery floor of UVLo 18.5Vdc ±5%. Each zone output gives 16V or 22.5V (default) ±15% 20mA per zone (default), and zone short circuit current is limited to < 30mA.
Sector outputs are rated 0.5A max. each at 24V ± 3V, electronically current limited to approximately 1A at 25ºC, while the auxiliary power output covers 0 to 0.5A with 12V ± 0.5V or 24V ± 0.5V and 0.5A to 0.65A max. with 12V ± 2V or 24V ± 2V, for a maximum total output current of 1.5A. The steel enclosure measures 478mm x 322mm x 145mm, weighs 5.25Kg (excluding batteries and optional modules fitted) and is rated IP31 (estimated).
