Description
The Gent EACIE3 is a 36-zone EvacSmart evacuation alert panel for manual control by the Fire and Rescue Service. Its three 12-zone fascia sections have a switch for each zone, with red evacuation and yellow fault LEDs beside it. Labels can be engraved to match the floors, flats or zones on site. The panel requires a dedicated fire alarm control panel and fits inside a separate GERDA enclosure. It is supplied with a battery; the GERDA enclosure is excluded. Mains power, power fault and general fault indicators sit above the zone controls, alongside a button that silences the panel buzzer.

The EACIE3 provides 36 evacuation zones across three 12-zone fascia sections. Each zone has its own evacuation switch and separate evacuation and fault LEDs. The EvacSmart range supports engraved zone descriptions to identify floors, flats or zones, with space below each section for the building name.
The EACIE3 requires a dedicated fire alarm control panel, or FACP. The EvacSmart system uses a Vigilon FACP with at least two loops: one connects the EACIE controls, while a separate loop serves the sounders and visual alarm devices through T-breaker runs. The evacuation system is separate from the building fire detection system. The FACP is located in a secure area near the EACIE for access by service personnel.
The 36 switches let the Fire and Rescue Service select the zones to evacuate. Moving a switch to the right activates the alarms in its zone; moving it left silences that zone. A flashing red LED indicates evacuation and a yellow LED indicates a zone fault. The common panel indicators show mains power, a mains or battery fault, and general system fault. Holding the buzzer button for four seconds silences the panel buzzer.
The EACIE3 is supplied with a battery and excludes the GERDA enclosure. EvacSmart panels install inside the separately supplied GERDA security enclosure, using the external panel brackets and the enclosure H-bracket studs. M6 nuts and washers secure the panel in place. The installer provides the cable, glands and associated installation accessories. The mains connection requires an unswitched 5 A fused spur and protective earthing.
The EvacSmart range operates from 230 V mains at 50 or 60 Hz, with a supply tolerance of -15% to +10% and a single 12 V, 7 Ah sealed lead acid backup battery. Its enclosure dimensions are 448 mm wide, 501 mm high and 181 mm deep, with a RAL 7035 finish. Range operating limits are -5 °C to +40 °C and up to 90% non-condensing relative humidity at +5 °C to +40 °C; storage limits are -10 °C to +55 °C.
Commissioning the EvacSmart system links each EACIE3 zone switch to its corresponding sector through a command build. Devices on a floor use matching zone and sector numbers. The EACIE MRC uses zone 128 without a sector assignment, sector links are removed, and a separate command build provides buzzer silencing. Individual sounder tests, detailed fault information and the event log are accessed at the dedicated FACP. A connected Honeywell CLSS Gateway also provides access through the CLSS App or Site Manager.
