Description

The 6500-LRK is a Long Range Reflector Kit for use with a projected beam smoke detector, enabling reflected beam detectors to be installed at distances from 70 to 100 metres. Four 20 cm x 20 cm reflectors are required to return sufficient infrared energy at range, and the kit supplies three additional reflectors with new test scale legends. It is the dedicated accessory for extending beam-detector coverage across large open spaces.

6500-LRK is a long range reflector kit designed for use with projected beam smoke detectors in the 6500 range. It enables operation over distances between 70 and 100 metres by providing additional reflectors to boost infrared signal return.

The kit includes three 20cm x 20cm reflectors, each with distinct test scale legends for alignment and sensitivity verification. One reflector features a 10% to 25% test scale, another a 30% to 65% test scale, and the third has no test scale.

These are used alongside the original reflector supplied with the transmitter/receiver unit to meet the requirement of four reflectors total for adequate signal reflection at extended ranges. Installation, mounting and system testing must follow the procedures outlined in the beam detector’s manual, with physical wiring details referenced separately.
