Description
Rated power is 6 W, with transformer tappings at 6/3/1.5 W so each unit can be set to 6 W, to 3 W or down to 1.5 W.
Sensitivity comes in at 97,8 dB for 1 W at 1 m, with 105,3 dB maximum, the transmission range is 300 Hz ... 19300 Hz, and the working ambient temperature is -10 °C ... 55 °C.
582408.SAFE is a 6 W 6.5" shallow ceiling loudspeaker in metal, carrying the model code DL-E 06-165/T-EN 54.SAFE and made for EN 54 voice alarm systems. A 6.5" broadband loudspeaker chassis, impregnated against humidity, gives the unit its high degree of effectiveness.
Its flat form is meant to sit well in the ceilings it was designed for: the body runs Ø: 200 mm D: 72 mm, weighs approx. 0.76 kg and drops into a cut-out of (Ø min.) 165 mm, finished white, similar to RAL 9016. The spring latch (3 pieces) makes mounting onto the ceiling quick and uncomplicated.

The standard build puts a synthetic protective cover on the back of the loudspeaker, and an EN 54 Part 24 certified fire dome is available as an option; the optional part offered here is 582408.FD, the steel fire dome (FE 165.1).
582408.SAFE is a 6 W 6.5" shallow ceiling loudspeaker in metal, carrying the model code DL-E 06-165/T-EN 54.SAFE and made for EN 54 voice alarm systems. A 6.5" broadband loudspeaker chassis, impregnated against humidity, gives the unit its high degree of effectiveness.

In the SAFE version, the thermal fuse and ceramic terminal are premounted rather than added on site, which is also necessary if this SAFE-type is to be mounted in projects requiring compliance with BS 5839-8.
