582408.SAFE is a type DL-E 06-165/T-EN 54.SAFE metal ceiling loudspeaker, a 6 W voice alarm speaker in the Speakers range whose SAFE designation adds a premounted ceramic terminal and thermal fuse for fire-resilient connection.
A 6.5-inch broadband chassis, impregnated against humidity, handles reproduction, and transformer taps allow the full 6 W rating to be run at 3 W or 1.5 W instead. Operation is specified across ambient temperatures from -10 °C to 55 °C. Certification reads Approval as per EN 54-24, 1438/CPD/0233, and the supporting Declaration of Performance carries the number 012-13.
Where hanging ceilings are involved, the FE 165.1 fire dome — listed as 582408.FD — has been certified according to EN 54-24 together with ceiling loudspeaker Part No. 582408 and prevents the chimney suction effect; physical connection details remain with the installation manual.
