Description
The SAFE designation is the substance of this version: the ceramic terminal and the thermal fuse are mounted at the factory, and that is also necessary in order to mount this SAFE-type in projects which require compliance with BS 5839-8.
Approval is held as per EN 54-24, 1438/CPD/0233. Mechanically it measures Ø: 181.5 mm D: 59 mm and weighs approx. 0.75 kg, needing a ceiling opening of (Ø min.) 156 mm, while the spring latch (2 pieces) guarantees uncomplicated and quick mounting onto the ceiling.
582407.SAFE is a recessed metal-ceiling loudspeaker for EN 54-24 voice alarm systems, designated DL-E 06-130/T-EN 54.SAFE and rated at 6 W. Its 5" broadband loudspeaker chassis is impregnated against humidity and distinguishes itself by way of its high degree of effectiveness.
Transformer taps of 6/3/1.5 W mean the 6 W, 3 W, or 1.5 W power setting can be selected. Sensitivity is 88.9 dB at 1 W and 1 m and 96.7 dB maximum at 1 m, the transmission range covers 104 ... 17200 Hz, and dispersion is 180° (H), 180° (V). Ambient temperature runs -10 °C ... 55 °C.

In the standard version, a protective cover made out of a synthetic material is mounted to the back side of the loudspeaker, and a fire dome certified according to the EN 54 Part 24 standard is optionally available; for this loudspeaker that optional part is 582407.FD Fire dome (FE 130.1).

With its flat form, the type DL-E 06-130/T-EN 54.SAFE is optically a good fit for the ceilings for which it was designed, and the finish is white, similar to RAL 9016.
