Description
582408.FD is the steel Fire dome (FE 165.1) offered for the 6" ceiling loudspeaker Part No. 582408 and 582408.SAFE, added for increased passive safety.
Its function is narrow and specific. A hanging ceiling can develop a chimney suction effect in a fire, for instance once the loudspeaker membrane has blown out, and the dome is there to prevent that. Certification follows the same logic, since the dome is certified according to EN 54-24 in combination with the ceiling loudspeaker.
