What it is and how it fits the system.
The XCL-LB-CO2VV-RA is a VESDA Sensepoint XCL Large Bore carbon dioxide (CO2) gas detector measuring 1.0 to 5.0% v/v with 4-20mA analogue output and two programmable relays. Built for cumulative multi-hole ASD pipe-network sampling, it runs on 24V DC/AC and carries an IP65 (Type 4 / NEMA 250) rating in a compact 113 x 113 x 59 mm housing.
Technical overview
XCL-LB-CO2VV-RA is an Xtralis gas detector in the VESDA Sensepoint XCL Large Bore family, configured for carbon dioxide across a 1.0 to 5.0% v/v measuring range with a 4-20 mA analogue output and relay signalling. The detector is designed for installation directly in the pipe network of an aspirating (ASD) system — 25 mm or 27 mm outside diameter — where it carries out multi-hole cumulative sampling, with XCL-LB-ELB 60-degree elbows listed for the pipe routing.
Commissioning and upkeep stay in the field: configuration is handled from a smart device over Bluetooth, the gas sensor cartridge is replaceable on site, and an integral gas port is provided for functional testing and calibration. Two programmable relays accompany the analogue signal, giving interfaces into BMS, fire alarm panels, PLC and HVAC systems.
For sites standardising on Modbus RTU, XCL-LB-CO2VV-RM is the equivalent carbon dioxide variant. XCL-LB-FLT-1 filter cartridges cover NH3 and CO2 duty, and listed spares extend to the XCL-SC-CO2VV replacement sensor, XCL-LB-COV-1 sensor cover, XCL-LB-CAP flow cap and XCL-M20-CG cable glands; the detector supersedes the ECO-D-B-49, and wiring detail is held in the installation manual.
