Description

The Xtralis VSP-980-ST is a tamperproof, low-profile stainless steel sampling point for the VESDA-E VEA series, connecting to 6mm VEA microbore tube via a simple push-fit. Suitable for ceiling, cabinet or open-duct mounting, it is fully supervised by the VEA detector with patented full tube integrity monitoring, making it ideal for discreet and plenum applications.

VSP-980-ST is the tamperproof stainless steel air sampling point in the Xtralis VESDA-E VEA series, a low-profile fitting suitable for plenum applications and fully interchangeable with the standard VSP-980 plastic sampling point.

VSP-980-ST is the tamperproof stainless steel air sampling point in the Xtralis VESDA-E VEA series, a low-profile fitting suitable for plenum applications and fully interchangeable with the standard VSP-980 plastic sampling point.

Connection to the 6mm VEA microbore tube is a simple push-fit, and the patented VEA sampling point design allows full tube integrity monitoring, with the point fully supervised by the VEA detector.

Three mounting arrangements are covered. In the standard ceiling arrangement the point is screwed directly to the ceiling or threaded into ½” NPT conduits; the cabinet arrangement fixes the point to the cabinet using the nut arrangement; and the open duct arrangement uses the VSP-1008 duct mounting kit. The VSP-1007 installation tool supports fitting, and the part is listed among the VESDA-E VEA accessories. Push-fit connection and mounting detail is covered in the installation documentation.
