The Xtralis VSP-1008 is the VESDA-E VEA VSP-980-ST Sample Point Duct Kit, used to mount stainless steel sampling points into open duct applications. It adapts VEA sampling points for open-duct arrangements, extending VESDA-E VEA coverage to ducted airflows.
Technical overview
VSP-1008 is the Xtralis duct mounting kit that adapts the VESDA-E VEA VSP-980-ST sample point system for open duct applications. Sampling points are designed for open duct use by means of this kit: pairing the VSP-980-ST stainless steel sampling point with the kit extends VESDA-E VEA coverage to ducted airflows.
Fitting relies on a simple nut arrangement: the sampling point is secured onto the kit first, after which the combined unit is mounted into the open duct. Ducts from 4” to 12” fall within the recommended size band for the arrangement.
