The Xtralis VSP-870 is an In-line Flow Restrictor, supplied as a complete In-line Flow Restrictor Assembly for use within Xtralis aspirating smoke detection sampling pipe networks. It is fitted in the sampling pipe to control airflow within the ASD network.
Technical overview
VSP-870 is the Xtralis in-line flow restrictor for aspirating smoke detection sampling pipe networks, ordered as a complete flow restrictor assembly. Fitted in the sampling pipe, the assembly controls airflow within the ASD network.
Documented relationships place the restrictor in two Xtralis sampling contexts. Compatibility is stated with the VSP-610 tamperproof sampling point for 25 mm standard pipe, and the part also appears in the ordering information for the refrigerated storage sampling kit, in which the flow restrictor is used and which supports all Xtralis detectors installed with large bore pipe networks. A separate United States version is ordered as VSP-870-US.
Replacement discs for the restrictor are ordered as VSP-871 in packs of ten. The assembly supersedes the earlier reference REDBOIFR0250, and pipe interfaces and fitting detail sit in the installation manual rather than the datasheet.
