The Gent VSINT-PCB-ASD is the spare printed circuit board for the Gent ASD interface unit, the S4-34440-ASD, which is the unit that links a FAAST aspirating detector to a Vigilon loop. It is the board on its own and not a complete interface: Honeywell's own technical answer for this product gives S4-34440-ASD as the code for the full interface and VSINT-PCB-ASD as the spare board. Order it when the enclosure, the mains termination and the field wiring are all sound and only the electronics need changing. Gent's documentation for this product carries a single ASD interface part number, S4-34440-ASD, and the interface is sold alongside several different FAAST detectors without that part number changing. So the board is ordered against the interface unit, not against the detector on the end of it. Honeywell's own technical answer for the range gives the two codes plainly: S4-34440-ASD is the complete interface and VSINT-PCB-ASD is the spare PCB.
Choose between the board and a complete unit before you order. Take the board when the enclosure, the mains termination and the field wiring are all sound and the electronics are what have failed. Is the VSINT-PCB-ASD the same part as the VSINT-PCB-LT?
No. The two boards sit at different points in the same installation. VSINT-PCB-ASD is the ASD interface unit's own board, inside the interface enclosure. VSINT-PCB-LT is the connection PCB that Gent fits onto the FAAST LT detector's terminal blocks to bring its wiring out to that interface. If the fault is at the FAAST end of the wiring, VSINT-PCB-LT is the part to order.
Does it matter which FAAST detector the interface was supplied with?
Not for ordering this board. Gent sells the ASD interface bundled with several different FAAST detectors, but the interface unit keeps the same part number, S4-34440-ASD, in every case. So the spare board is ordered against the interface, not against the detector. We do not state any FAAST-model-specific version of this board, because Gent's documentation does not describe one.
