Technical overview
The VS-PSU-72 is a Gent by Honeywell replacement power supply unit for the Vigilon Plus range, specifically designed for VIG1-24/72 and VIG1-72 Vigilon 4/6 loop fire alarm control panels. It supports two 12V 21Ah batteries with a float voltage that varies from about 27.5V at 15°C to 27.1V at 25°C, and drives mains input via terminals P2 (Live and Neutral) while connecting the batteries through socket P1.
Status indication is provided by LEDs LD1 through LD5, with LD5 specifically indicating communication with the MCC. The unit is protected by FS2 (3A15 QB glass) and FS6 (3.15A AS ceramic) fuses, and supports disconnection and reconnection testing to verify fault monitoring. Safety warnings note that removal of the cover exposes live parts, and the PCB earth must be securely connected to the case via its fixing screw. The module mounts inside the back box and is retained by the original fixing screws.
