Overview
What it is and how it fits the system.
The VIG-BSKIT-NODE is an EN-to-BS conversion kit installed in a VIG-NODE-24 to convert it from an EN network node to a BS network node. It is supplied with one BS version 3 Main Control Card (MCC), a commission/warning LED label and a blank label; loop processor cards are not applicable for a network node. The MCC fits to socket P1 Card 0 on the backplane and reconnects via the 20-way and 40-way ribbon cables. Reference 4188-913.01.
Technical overview
VIG-BSKIT-NODE is an EN-to-BS conversion kit from Gent by Honeywell, part of the Gent Legacy V3+ range, designed to convert a VIG-NODE-24 from an EN Network node to a BS Network node. It comprises a BS version 3 Main Control Card (MCC) together with a commission/warning LED label and a blank label. Loop processor cards are not applicable to a Network node, which does not support loop circuits.
The MCC fits into socket P1 Card 0 on the backplane and reconnects through the 20-way and 40-way ribbon cables, with the physical wiring covered in the installation manual. The commission/warning label is placed on the control and indication membrane over the Disablement, Test and Delay LEDs to suit a BS compliant system, while the blank label covers the Sounder LED, whose indication does not apply under BS.
