Description

The Gent VIG-BSKIT converts a VIG1-24 or VIG1-72 control panel from EN to BS operation. It includes one main control card, which fits the backplane at P1, card 0. The replacement uses the panel's existing 20-way and 40-way ribbon cables, held beneath the backplane clamp. Conversion also changes the applicable loop processor cards and adapts the panel indicators. VIG-LPC-V3+ is the additional card for panels with more than one fitted loop card. The Commission/Warning label covers Disablement, Test and Delay, and a blank label covers Sounder. The panel is tested after its mains and battery supplies are restored.

VIG-BSKIT converts the VIG1-24 and VIG1-72 control panels from EN to BS operation. It includes one main control card. Conversion involves replacing the applicable main control and loop processor cards and changing the front-panel indication labels.

The conversion-kit main control card fits socket P1, card 0, on the backplane. The existing 20-way and 40-way ribbon cables transfer to the replacement card and are secured by the backplane clamp. Remove the replacement card's battery insulation sleeve or disc before fitting it. Isolate the mains supply and disconnect the panel batteries before starting the conversion.

During conversion, the Commission/Warning label covers the Disablement, Test and Delay indication area. A blank label covers the Sounder indication. Once the replacement cards and labels are fitted, reconnect the supplies and test the panel's operation.

For a panel with more than one fitted loop card, VIG-LPC-V3+ is the additional loop processor card used during conversion.
