The VIC-010 is the VESDAnet Interface Card (VN Card), a simple interface for the VESDA VLF range of smoke detectors that provides seamless VESDAnet communication to configuration, monitoring and other VESDAnet devices. It draws less than 1 W from the detector at 24 VDC and 42 mA. The card is approved to EN 54-20 and carries CE (EMC and CPR), AFNOR, UL and ULC approvals.

Technical overview

The VIC-010 is the Xtralis VESDAnet Interface Card (VN Card), a simple interface for the VESDA VLF range of smoke detectors that provides VESDAnet communication to configuration, monitoring and other VESDAnet devices. Fitted into a VLF detector, the card links it into the wider VESDAnet, allowing remote displays and relays to be added and individual detectors to be interrogated and configured.

Via an appropriate High Level Interface, VESDAnet information can also be passed to third-party Building Management Systems and Fire Alarm Control Panels. It communicates using VESDAnet, a proprietary fault-tolerant protocol developed for VESDA systems, and the card's operating status is shown visually by onboard diagnostic LEDs.

The card is approved to EN 54-20 and carries CE (EMC and CPR), AFNOR, UL and ULC approvals.
