The VHX-0410 is a VESDA Modbus High Level Interface, Type 2, connecting a VESDAnet network to PC software, Building Management Systems and Fire Alarm Control Panels that support the Modbus protocol, with the echoing function disabled. It supports up to 200 VESDA devices, including a maximum of 40 detectors, across zone numbers 1 to 200. The unit operates on 24 VDC at 70 mA quiescent (1.68 W).
Technical overview
VHX-0410 is a VESDA Modbus High Level Interface, Type 2, from Xtralis in the VESDA Programming and Connectivity range. It links a VESDAnet network to PC software monitoring tools, Building Management Systems, and Fire Alarm Control Panels that support the Modbus protocol, with the echoing function disabled. The unit operates on 24 VDC at 70 mA quiescent current, consuming 1.68 W, and supports up to 200 VESDA devices including a maximum of 40 detectors across zone numbers 1 to 200.
It features an RS-232 host interface and RS-485 VESDAnet interface for communication, and connects via a VESDAlink RS-232 9-way serial cable and a VESDAnet RS-485 15-way cable. The VHX-0410 is compatible with VESDA detector types VLP, VLS, VLC, and VLF, and does not include modem support. It carries a two-year product warranty and is designed for use in fire detection and gas monitoring applications requiring Modbus integration.
