Description
The Gent S4M-V-VAD-LPR combines a voice sounder and a Standard Power red visual alarm in one ceiling mounted head. It fits the S4-700 base and takes power from the loop. The S-Quad S4M AV range provides alarm warning without smoke or heat detection and works with Vigilon and Vigilon Compact systems fitted with current EN54 loop cards. In the S4M speech range, an attention tone precedes a voice message. The white head is supplied with an orange dust cover. It needs controller software 4.64 or later, loop software 4.58 or later and commissioning tool 1.40 or later. Its marking is V/RVAD/LP.

In the S4M speech range, an attention tone precedes the voice message. Speech messages can be reprogrammed. The sounder range provides adjustable volume and soft start, with an average output of 85dBA at 1m or 75dBA at 3m at a bedhead. The S4M speech and sounder functions are monitored for failure.
The S4M Standard Power VAD range covers a C-3-10 cylinder: up to 3m mounting height, 10m diameter and 235.6m³ volume. A two-second flash interval is used for EN54-23 coverage in the S4M VAD range.
The S4M range plugs into the S4-700 base, mounted on a metal back box with earth continuity maintained around the loop. Loop wiring uses screened two-core fire-rated cable with conductors from 1.5mm² to 2.5mm². The base provides the connection between the head and the panel loop.
The S4M range works with Vigilon and Vigilon Compact systems fitted with current EN54 loop cards. These AV-only models need MCC/MCB software 4.64 or later, LPC software 4.58 or later and commissioning tool 1.40 or later.
