Gent S4-34418 Key Switch Interface, Blue Enclosure

The S4-34418 is a Gent by Honeywell key switch interface within the S4 Interfaces & Accessories range, part of the Keyswitch Interface sub-range and built for the Vigilon addressable fire detection and alarm system. It presents a single supervisory channel to the addressable loop, giving installers a keyed input point wherever a manual, secured signal needs to be raised on the network.

Because the device draws its operating power from the detection loop itself, no separate local supply has to be run to the mounting position, which keeps cabling and installation straightforward. The keyswitch mechanism is set within a blue enclosure that forms a robust housing for the manual control and protects it in service.

Its role on the loop is deliberately narrow, dealing with supervisory signalling only. That focused behaviour makes the interface predictable in operation and simple to commission alongside the other addressable devices sharing the Vigilon loop, where keyed supervisory points can be positioned as the installation demands.
