The Xtralis PIP-001-2.4-W is a 25 mm ABS aspirating smoke detection pipe in white, supplied in 2.4 m lengths in packs of 25 for use in ASD systems including VESDA, VESDA-E and FAAST FLEX. Manufactured from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene with a 25 mm outside diameter and 21 mm smooth-bore inside diameter, it provides a discreet white finish for exposed pipework. Its specific gravity of 1.04 (ASTM D792) reflects consistent ABS material quality.
Technical overview
PIP-001-2.4-W is the white-finish variant of Xtralis 25 mm ABS pipe for aspirating smoke detection, specified where exposed pipe runs call for a discreet appearance. The white pipe supersedes the earlier WHT3MP-10.
The pipe is manufactured from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene and offered in a choice of red, white and grey. Quality control runs to BS5391 for manufacture, with BS EN ISO 9001 approval extending across how the pipe is designed, made and inspected.
On site, joints are made with ABS solvent cement and remain compatible with the complete range of ASD fittings. Suitability covers medium to large installations on VESDA, VESDA-E and FAAST FLEX aspirating smoke detection systems.
