Description
This is the white 25mm ABS sampling pipe, PIP-001-2.4-W, in 2.4m lengths, 25pcs to a pack. The body material is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), at 25 mm OD around a 21 mm ID smooth-bore design, and red, white and grey are the colours it comes in.
Mechanically the ABS gives a tensile strength of 6670 psi and tensile elongation of 15% at yield, 23°C (73°F), on 50.0 mm (1.97 in) specimens under Test Method ASTM D638, a flexural strength of 9230 psi (Test Method ASTM D790) and a flexural modulus of 312000 psi at 3.00 mm (0.118 in). Notched Izod impact is 5.5 ft.lb/in at 3.20 mm (0.126 in) and 4.8 ft.lb/in at 6.40 mm (0.252 in) (Test Method ASTM D256).
PIP-001-2.4-W is the white version of the Xtralis 25mm ABS aspirating smoke detection (ASD) pipe, supplied in 2.4m lengths and in packs of 25. It is intended for ASD systems including VESDA, VESDA-E and FAAST FLEX, and the same pipe is available in red, white and grey colours.

Jointing uses ABS solvent cement, and the pipe has full compatibility across all ASD pipe fittings, in pipework for VESDA, VESDA-E and FAAST FLEX systems. Manufacture follows BS5391, with approval to BS EN ISO 9001.
