The Xtralis PIP-001-2.4 is a 25 mm ABS aspirating smoke detection sampling pipe in red, supplied in 2.4 m lengths in packs of 25 for use in ASD systems including VESDA, VESDA-E and FAAST FLEX. Made from high-quality Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, it has a 25 mm outside diameter and a 21 mm smooth-bore inside diameter for low-resistance airflow. The pipe is easy to joint using ABS solvent cement with full compatibility across the fittings range.
Technical overview
PIP-001-2.4 is a red 25 mm Xtralis ABS sampling pipe for aspirating smoke detection, supplied in 2.4 m lengths in packs of 25. The red pipe sits alongside grey and white colour variants, PIP-001-2.4-G and PIP-001-2.4-W, which share the same 25 mm, 2.4 m, 25-piece specification.
Made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, the pipe pairs a 25 mm outside diameter with a 21 mm smooth-bore inside diameter, and jointing uses ABS solvent cement with full compatibility across all ASD pipe fittings for integration of the pipe network. Compatibility covers VESDA, VESDA-E and FAAST FLEX aspirating smoke detection systems.
The pipe is manufactured in accordance with BS5391 and approved to BS EN ISO 9001, covering product design, manufacture and inspection. It is certified against BS5839 - Fire Detection and Alarm Systems. PIP-001-2.4 supersedes the earlier RED3MP-20.
