The DST5 is a duct smoke detector sampling tube sized to suit ducts from 1.2m to 2.4m (122 to 244 cm) wide. For correct operation it must extend a minimum of two-thirds the duct width across the airflow.

DST5 is a duct smoke detector sampling tube sized to suit ducts from 1.2m to 2.4m (122 to 244 cm) wide. It is designed for use with both Conventional and Intelligent Duct Smoke Detectors and is constructed from metal for durability in HVAC environments.
For correct operation, the DST5 must extend a minimum of two-thirds the duct width across the airflow to ensure effective smoke sampling. It is UL listed, confirming compliance with relevant safety standards for duct-mounted detection accessories.
The DST5 is compatible with duct detector housings such as the DNRE model, which houses addressable detectors like the MI-PSE-S2 or MI-PSE-S2I with a B501AP base. Wiring and physical connections should follow the installation manual for proper integration into fire alarm systems.
