The Gent COMPACT-LPC is an older-build EN Compact loop card for use in Vigilon Compact panels, superseded by the post-March 2014 COMPACT-LPC-EN loop card. The later COMPACT-LPC-EN can only be used in Vigilon Compact panels, and the Loop Diagnostic Tool cannot be used to diagnose Vigilon panels fitted with this earlier card.
Technical overview
The Gent by Honeywell COMPACT-LPC is an older-build EN Compact loop card designed for use in Vigilon Compact panels. It is structurally distinct from its successor, the COMPACT-LPC-EN, which was introduced post-March 2014 and features updated compatibility with later hardware. This earlier card is specifically intended for legacy Vigilon Compact systems and cannot be diagnosed using the Loop Diagnostic Tool when installed in such panels.
As a replacement component, the COMPACT-LPC serves older-build loop configurations where S4 and S3 Mark 1/2 devices or certain 34000 series devices are present on the circuit. It is superseded by the post-March 2014 COMPACT-LPC-EN loop card, which offers enhanced functionality but is restricted to Vigilon Compact panels only. Unlike its successor, the COMPACT-LPC does not support loop diagnostics via the standard diagnostic tool, reflecting its earlier design constraints within the Gent Legacy range.
