The XCL-VEA-H2-RA-5 is a pack of five VESDA Sensepoint XCL aspirated hydrogen (H2) gas detectors for the VESDA-E VEA micro bore network, each with a 1000ppm range and 4-20mA plus relay output. The charcoal polycarbonate units are rated IP65 (Type 4 / NEMA 250) and measure 113 x 113 x 59 mm at 500 g each.
Technical overview
XCL-VEA-H2-RA-5 is the five-detector ordering code for the Xtralis VESDA Sensepoint XCL aspirated hydrogen gas detector in 4-20 mA relay form, each unit covering hydrogen at 1000 ppm on a VESDA-E VEA micro bore tube network. Every detector in the pack inserts in-line, connecting to micro bore tube of 6 mm (1/4 in) OD through flexible tubes.
Interfaces are common across the five: integration with fire alarm control panels, PLCs, HVAC and building management systems, configurable relays, VSC and VSM4 remote detector access, and Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy) configuration from a compatible smart device running iOS 10 or Android 4.3 or above. Approvals span electrical safety (Conforms to EN/UL/IEC61010-1; Certified to CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1-12), EMC (CE - EMC; EN 50270) and radio (RED, FCC, BT SIG).
Sensor exchange on any of the detectors uses the XCL-XRL-SC-H2 replacement hydrogen sensor, and the accessory range spans the XCL-FILTER replacement filter, XCL-VEA-CAL calibration/flow cap, XCL-M20-CG cable glands, XCL-VEA-TUB tubing interface and XCL-COVER sensor cover with gasket. Each unit terminates its field cabling in pluggable rising clamp connections.
