The XCL-VEA-H2-RA is a VESDA Sensepoint XCL aspirated hydrogen (H2) gas detector that inserts in-line into a VESDA-E VEA micro bore tube network, with a 1000ppm range. It provides 0 to 22 mA analogue output plus relays, runs on 24V DC nominal and is rated IP65 in a 113 x 113 x 59 mm charcoal polycarbonate housing.
Technical overview
XCL-VEA-H2-RA is an aspirated hydrogen gas detector from Xtralis in the VESDA Sensepoint XCL line, pairing a 1000 ppm hydrogen range with 4-20 mA relay output for VESDA-E VEA micro bore tube networks. The detector can be added to existing or new VESDA-E VEA installations, inserting in-line to the tube network and connecting to 6 mm (1/4 in) OD micro bore tube through flexible tubes.
System interfaces take in fire alarm control panels, PLCs, HVAC and building management systems, with configurable relays and with VSC and VSM4 giving remote access to detectors over Modbus. Alarm status shows on integral LEDs, and Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy) lets a mobile device connect up to 10 m away, running iOS 10 or Android 4.3 and above.
A five-detector multipack is listed as XCL-VEA-H2-RA-5, and the XCL-XRL-SC-H2 replacement sensor covers hydrogen sensor exchange in service.
