Description

XCL-VEA-CO2PP-RA covers carbon dioxide at 5000ppm on a VESDA-E VEA microbore tube network, and each VEA tube must enter the flexible tubes by at least 15mm (0.6 in).

The charcoal polycarbonate enclosure measures 113 x 113 x 59 mm, weighs 500 g and is protected to IP65, Type 4 (NEMA 250). Working conditions run from −20 °C to +50 °C at 0 to 99% (non-condensing) humidity and 95 to 110 kPa, with storage between 0 °C and +30 °C.

Outputs integrate with PLCs, HVAC, BMS or FACP equipment. The detector conforms to EN/UL/IEC61010-1, is certified to CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1-12, meets EN 50270 for EMC, holds RED, FCC and BT SIG radio approvals and AS 1668.2. Duties include indoor air quality monitoring, underground or enclosed car parks, greenhouses and refrigerated systems (leak detection). Compatible service items are XCL-SC-CO2PP, XCL-FILTER, XCL-VEA-CAL, XCL-M20-CG and XCL-COVER.

XCL-VEA-CO2PP-RA is a carbon dioxide gas detector, factory calibrated, designed to sit in-line within a VESDA-E VEA microbore tube network and joined by flexible tubes. The sensor covers 5000ppm and stays adjustable between 1000 and 5000ppm, and the module connects onto VESDA-E VEA micro bore tube 6 mm (1/4”) OD.

Signalling is analogue. An output of 0 to 22 mA is available, and two configurable relays rated 24 V DC / 240 V AC, 5 A handle local switching. Supply is 24 VDC nominal over an 11 to 32V DC window, or 24V AC 50/60Hz nominal (20 to 27 VAC); maximum inrush current at 24V DC reaches 850 mA, while consumption peaks at 1.7W for a carbon dioxide head with the relay version adding 0.6W total.

Field conductors of 0.5 to 1.5 mm² (20 to 16 AWG) land in pluggable rising clamp terminals. Integral alarm status LEDs give indication at the detector itself, and Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy) allows an engineer to work up to 10m away (mobile device dependent) using a smart device running iOS 10 / Android 4.3 or above.
