Description

The XCL-VEA-CO-RA-5 is a pack of five VESDA Sensepoint XCL aspirated carbon monoxide (CO) gas detectors for the VESDA-E VEA micro bore network, each set to 300ppm and adjustable from 50 to 1000ppm with 4-20mA and relay output. The charcoal polycarbonate units are rated IP65 (Type 4 / NEMA 250) and measure 113 x 113 x 59 mm at 500 g each.

XCL-VEA-CO-RA-5 equips five sampling positions from a single ordering code, covering five Xtralis VESDA Sensepoint XCL carbon monoxide detectors in 4-20 mA relay form for VESDA-E VEA Addressable Aspirating Smoke Detection installations on both new and existing systems.

Each detector splices into the VEA micro bore tube network with flexible tubing, drawing its sample from the 6 mm outside-diameter line, and monitors carbon monoxide against an adjustable measuring point. Alarm status reads on integral LEDs, and each unit connects over Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy) to a compatible smart device on iOS 10 or Android 4.3 and above, at up to 10 m depending on the mobile device.

Configurable relays and the analogue output feed fire alarm control panels, PLCs, HVAC and building management systems, and VSC and VSM4 handle remote detector access. Sensor renewal per unit uses the XCL-XRL-SC-CO replacement CO cartridge; approvals list UL2075 (CO and CH4), AS 1668.2 and EN 50270, and the installation manual carries the terminal-by-terminal wiring.
