What it is and how it fits the system.

The XCL-LB-O2-RM is a VESDA Sensepoint XCL Large Bore oxygen (O2) gas detector with a 25% V/V measuring range. Combining Modbus digital output with an integral relay, it reports oxygen levels over a networked bus while driving local alarm and control outputs.

Technical overview

XCL-LB-O2-RM measures oxygen over a 25% V/V range as the Modbus-plus-relay build of the Xtralis VESDA Sensepoint XCL Large Bore gas detector. The electrochemical-cell-type sensor reports over Modbus RTU at a default 9600 bps while the on-board relay, rated 5 A, 250 V AC, 24 V DC, drives local alarm and control outputs; the Sensepoint App handles configuration, including recovery from EEPROM or flash faults.

Supply options are nominal 24 V DC or 24 V AC, 50/60 Hz, with the Modbus version accepting 9 to 32 V DC and inrush current below 850 mA; consumption is 0.3 W in the normal state and 0.7 W in alarm, plus 0.6 W for the relay output stage. The IP65 housing measures 113 mm by 113 mm by 59 mm and weighs 500 g, and the detector operates from −20 to 50 °C, 0 to 99% non-condensing humidity and 90 to 110 kPa. EMC compliance is to EN 50270:2015, with electrical safety to UL 61010-1, CSA C22.2 No. 61010-1, IEC/EN 61010-1.

The oxygen cell can be renewed in service with the XCL-SC-O2 replacement sensor, and family accessories cover XCL-M20-CG cable glands (pack of 10), the XCL-LB-CAP flow cap and XCL-LB-ELB 60° pipe elbows (pack of 4).
