Gent VS-PSU-RPL Vigilon/34000 Replacement PSU

VS-PSU-RPL is a Gent by Honeywell replacement power supply unit from the Gent Legacy range, designed for Vigilon or 34000 fire alarm control panels and network nodes. It is a backward-compatible unit intended to replace a faulty PSU in a panel or terminal node with short cabling, and it also replaces an old incompatible Battery (Thermistor) card as part of the same work.

Installation is restricted to 34000 or Vigilon panels or nodes fitted with short cards, and requires MCC V3.90 or V4.22, LPC V3.84 or V4.19, and IO V3.74 or V4.06 or higher software. The existing mains filter is removed during the replacement, and the mains supply to the panel, node and any external charger units must be completely isolated before work begins, as removing the cover exposes live parts.

The PSU connects via ribbon cable to the terminal card at P10 and to the backplane at P12, while the battery and thermistor cables plug into sockets P3 and P5 on the unit. It is held by three captive screws onto the mounting studs. VS-PSU-RPL supersedes the earlier VS-PSU. Terminal-by-terminal wiring is documented in the installation manual.
