Overview
What it is and how it fits the system.
The Xtralis VRT-600 is a VESDA VLP display module supplied with no relays, providing real-time status indication and zone control for a single VESDA detector. It features a 20-segment vertical bar graph display, a 2-digit numeric display, a built-in audible sounder, high-intensity alarm and fault LEDs with a 70-degree viewing angle, and 4 push-button keys (Mode/Test, Silence/Scan, Reset, Isolate). It operates on 18-30 VDC across 0-39 degC at 10-99% RH non-condensing.
Technical overview
The VRT-600 is an Xtralis VESDA VLP display module without relays, designed for real-time status indication and zone control of a single VESDA detector. It features a 20-segment vertical bar graph display and a 2-digit numeric display for clear visual feedback, complemented by high-intensity alarm and fault LEDs with a 70-degree viewing angle. A built-in audible sounder provides audible warnings, while four push-button keys (Mode/Test, Silence/Scan, Reset, Isolate) allow user interaction, with the Silence/Scan button being the only one that cannot be disabled during commissioning.
Operating on a supply voltage of 18-30 VDC, the module functions within an environmental range of 0°C to 39°C (32°F to 103°F) and 10-99% RH non-condensing humidity. It distinguishes between system faults affecting the entire VESDAnet, zone faults limited to the assigned detector and its displays, and urgent faults requiring immediate attention. The VRT-600 connects to VESDA devices via VESDAnet and is commonly supplied as a display unit in a remote mounting box with a termination card, with optional accessories like the VSP-012 recessed mounting kit available. Physical wiring details, including mounting box configuration and termination card connections, are documented in the installation manual.
