What it is and how it fits the system.
The Morley POL-200-TS is a portable analogue loop diagnostic tool for the verification and maintenance of addressable fire detection systems. Featuring a 4.3" colour TFT touch screen, it checks the loop, maps cabling topology and reads device information. It runs from 230V ac, a 12V external charger or internal rechargeable NiMH batteries giving up to 6 hours of operation.
Technical overview
POL-200-TS is an intelligent hand-held diagnostic test unit for analogue addressable loops, forming part of the Loop Diagnostics range and its Test Accessories sub-range. During a preliminary check of loop device installation, the unit recognises every addressable element that runs the CLIP, OPAL or ADVANCED protocols of Notifier, Morley-IAS, System Sensor and Honeywell, with the fullest data returned under the OPAL and ADVANCED protocols.
A 4.3-inch colour TFT resistive touch-screen of 480 x 268 pixels drives the interface and responds even to a gloved hand. Internal memory plus a USB type B port let saved recordings download to a PC without special software, files can be exported to the PK-8200 software, and a status log keeps a record of activity.
POL-200-TS is powered by 230 V ac or 12 V dc. Six 2500 mA NiMH rechargeable cells give up to six hours of runtime depending on loop load and hold a working life of up to three years. Fast charging reaches full capacity in about one hour from a 12 V 24 W charger when the equipment is switched off, with charging rated for 0°C to 40°C and storage for -20°C to 30°C.
Both the unit and its protective case are finished in black, together measuring 97 mm high, 177 mm long and 44 mm deep and weighing 550 g. Approvals cover CE and RoHS.
